Native speakers of English who apply to STL are expected to take the Law School Admissions Test ("LSAT"), a half-day standardized test prepared and administered around the world by the Law School Admission Council ("LSAC").
Non-native speakers of English who apply to STL are expected to take the "LSAT-STL." To be considered for a scholarship in 2010, an applicant must have taken either the traditional LSAT or the LSAT-STL.
The LSAC and STL have created the LSAT-STL as a specially adapted version of the LSAT that meets STL's particular requirements for applicants who are not native speakers of English. The LSAC has asked the Institute for China-US Law & Policy Studies to register students to take the LSAT-STL. See the letter from the LSAC here.
The LSAT-STL was first administered on February 7, 2010, in Beijing and Shanghai.
Information about the 2011 LSAT-STL will be posted here when it becomes available.
